Last December I was in Kathmandu for TIENS Nepal Convention. It went very successful. After the convention I went to Boudha where I met my friend Diego Araya from Chile. He is in Nepal studying Buddhism. Very nice Diego showed me around the Boudha temple and showed the the school where he studying. (His brother in Thailand studying Buddhism as well)



Part from the tour, Diego introduced to me the Buddhist Thangka painting. He told me that he sell the painting for his living in Nepal. For those who are interested to buy the painting, do let me know. Below I attach the email he sent me.

My dear friend:
My name is Diego, from Chile and now I am in Kathmandu, Nepal about 2 year, learning traditional tibetan art called Thangka in Tsering Art School.
Thangkha is a sacred ancient art, from Tibet, based in representations of Buddhas images, wich the practicioner can reflect and meditate. This art are painted on canvas or walls.
The school belongs to Shechen Monastery (http://www.tseringschool.org/), founded by Shechen Rabjam Rimpoche, the abbot of the Monastery. The students are drawn from monks, local lay people adn from abrod, like me.
Im writing this email, since my intention is to continues the studies, here in Nepal.
I kindly request your support in order to fulfill my wish to learn this beautiful sacred art.
i know nowadays, the economy all over the world in not in a good moment. Though, i would be so grateful for any contribution it will help me so much. I just need collaboration to cover my expenses like school fees and accommodation like that I will be be able to fulfill my dream and become a thangkha painter.
